What areas do you service?
Ryder Electrical Services is based on the Gold Coast, QLD, and we service the entire Gold Coast plus surrounding regions — southern Brisbane and Logan, the Scenic Rim and Gold Coast hinterland, and greater Brisbane. If you're unsure whether we cover your area, call us on (07) 5241 1122 and we'll let you know.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are fully licensed and insured electrical contractors. We hold QLD Electrical Licence 92423 and ARC Licence L196738 for air conditioning and refrigeration work, we are Master Electricians members, and we are Clean Energy Council accredited for solar. All work is carried out to Australian Standards.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes — we provide free, no-obligation quotes for all our services. Request one by calling (07) 5241 1122, emailing admin@resaus.com, or booking online, and we'll arrange a suitable time to assess the job.
Do you offer 24/7 emergency electrical services?
Yes. Electrical faults don't keep business hours, so we offer 24/7 emergency electrical callouts across the Gold Coast and surrounding areas. If you have an urgent or unsafe electrical issue, call us any time on (07) 5241 1122.
What are your standard business hours?
Our office and standard booking hours are Monday to Saturday, 7am to 5pm, and we are closed Sundays. Outside those hours we remain available for genuine electrical emergencies.
Solar & Batteries
Are you accredited to install solar?
Yes. We are Clean Energy Council (CEC) accredited solar installers, which is required for solar systems to be eligible for government rebates in Australia. We install and service systems from leading brands including Fronius, SolarEdge and Enphase.
Can you install a home battery like the Tesla Powerwall?
Yes. We are certified to install battery storage, including the Tesla Powerwall and Enphase batteries. A battery lets you store excess solar energy to use at night or during outages, reducing how much power you draw from the grid.
Is solar worth it on the Gold Coast?
The Gold Coast's high number of sunny days makes it well suited to solar. A correctly sized system can significantly reduce your electricity bills, and excess energy you export may earn a feed-in tariff. We assess your roof, energy use and budget to recommend the right system — actual savings depend on your usage and system size.
EV Charging
Can you install an EV charger at my home?
Yes. We install home and commercial EV chargers. In Queensland, EV charger installation must be carried out by a licensed electrician so it's safe and compliant with your switchboard and wiring — exactly the kind of work we do.
Electrical Work
Do you handle both residential and commercial electrical work?
Yes. We cover everything from home electrical repairs, switchboard upgrades, lighting and power points, through to commercial fit-outs, fault-finding and maintenance for businesses across the Gold Coast.
Do I legally need a licensed electrician in Queensland?
Yes. In Queensland it's illegal — and dangerous — to carry out most electrical work yourself. Tasks such as switchboard upgrades, rewiring, adding circuits and installing hardwired appliances must be done by a licensed electrician. Using a licensed electrician also keeps your insurance and warranties valid.
Air Conditioning
Do you supply and install air conditioning?
Yes. We supply, install and service air conditioning, and we hold ARC Licence L196738 for refrigerant handling. We can help you choose the right split-system or ducted solution for your home or business and install it to manufacturer and Australian Standards.
